It’s a hard to beat feeling: you look out from behind the decks and see the bride and groom high up on their friends’ shoulders, each man with a tie tied around his head (and most of them without a top); a crowd of people with arms in the air yelling the transcendental chorus of Take That’s Never Forget, like a bridesmaid, too hammered to keep her balance a second longer, crawling headlong into a stack of speakers. And you think, “Yeah, I did my job.”

After a day of vows, talking, and relative reassurance, what you need is the release of an uncompromising wedding disco (or rather, drink it all at the bar). In fact, a wedding is hard to imagine without one. But that’s exactly what it is
